Yes, Yes the garage sale was great. We got almost everything we were looking for:
Bike trailer for the boys (brand new- 20 bucks)- check
Bike for Mommy to ride along (not brand new but great bike- 25 bucks)- check
Desk for our friend Jacob (just right for a college room- 15 bucks)- check
Small table and chairs for kiddos- no check but we borrowed some
And of course we found a few other things on our city-wide garage sale tour that were just too good of a deal to pass up.
BUT
That's not the GREATEST part of the weekend.
LIFE CHURCH launched last night!
I have to say a great big huge THANK YOU to all of you who prayed for us. God really did show up and bless our socks off. We were able to meet in downtown DuPont at Forza coffee shop. It made for a really cool atmosphere. And, of course, we did serve coffee....it's the Northwest way!
We had childcare across the street in the aerobics room at Anytime Fitness and that worked out just great. Our launch team did a fantastic job greeting people and taking care of the children and making sure that Life Church was an all around good experience for people.
A friend of ours, Emilie, sang a couple of songs that she had written to get things started and then Kyle got to share the Word. They both did a phenomenal job!
We had a lot of our neighbors attend and that was very exciting for us because Kyle and I started praying for our street when we moved here last October. Isn't God good????!!!!
We met new people who got the postcard invite and decided to check us out. And get this...we had one guy who was hanging out in the coffee shop when we started setting up and thought we were going to be doing karaoke. He was curious so he stuck around to see what was going to happen. Then when he figured out that church was going to happen, he still stuck around! And that very guy who was curious about some karaoke was at Kyle's new Bible study that started tonight.
(*Side note: Kyle just got home from the first night of a new Bible study and was super excited...10 people showed up and he said it was an awesome night.)
Lots of people hung around to visit with each other after we wrapped things up. We couldn't have asked for a better night. To God be ALL the GLORY for He is truly doing GREAT things. We have our next gathering on October 4th at 6 pm at Forza. We are already excited to see what God is going to do. Please feel free to go ahead and start praying for that one.

Oh that is just awesome!!! Marc had talked to Kyle yesterday and when I came home for lunch Marc couldn't stop talking about all the exciting thing Kyle had told him. So excited you are in Dupont doing what you are called to do. Still sad you are so far away!
